Who's Behind Liontooth?
Liontooth was setup by me, Lisa Ellison, with the intention of providing the services a marketing department but without the overheads and contracts. I've spent years working in companies of varying sizes and in various industries, from national large format print to global animal health, travelling the world running events and advising distributors.
My husband Tom is a graphic designer, so the two of us working together means that our clients benefit from the visual expertise as well as the strategic expertise.
I'm the face of Liontooth and will always be your point of contact. This means that for you, you have one phone number to call and one email address to watch out for! No need to be chasing people and re-explaining the latest developments on your project, I'll always know and you'll never have to re-explain.
Liontooth exists to improve your marketing (and in turn sales) for businesses that can’t, don’t want to, or don’t need to hire in-house. I help clients uncover what makes them valuable, relatable and relevant to their audience, and turn that insight into marketing that works.
Founded after a personal turning point, I give my clients the same clarity, motivation and freedom that drove me to set up Liontooth.

What qualifies me to advise you?
Diploma
In 2016 I completed my diploma through the Chartered Institute of Marketing. This was an incredibly valuable investment as I learnt so much about practical implementation and strategic planning.
BA Honours Degree
Achieving a 2:1 in my Media Studies Degree at Chichester University set the ball rolling for a career in marketing for me. It ignited the flame to support others and help them to effectively market their business.
Work Experience
I have over 10 years experience working with a range of companies from international pharmaceuticals to local family run businesses. I understand complex business structures and different markets.

I take time to understand you, how your business works, your vision and your goals. Through doing this, I can see your business through both your eyes and my own. This gives me the ability to step into your shoes, bringing my expertise and strategic vision with me.
Working with you on a freelance basis, I always endeavour to alleviate the weight of a new starter by researching and understanding your business from the offset. I don't want to be coming to you with unnecessary questions, I want to provide a solution and a feeling of relief.
The process needs to be collaborative to enable me to fully understand your business and your brand vision. You don't need to be a marketing expert for us to make a success of this, you bring the insight and I will bring the expertise.

More About Liontooth
"Unlike working with agencies, I will always know who you are, why you're calling and what's going on with your project."
I set-up Liontooth after being made redundant and having my two children. I wanted to have more autonomy over my life and how I worked with clients. I was tired of the politics of businesses and for a long time people had said we should set-up our own marketing business - myself and my husband, that is.
My husband is an incredibly talented graphic designer and so provides all of the design services. This allows for a seamless and efficient service for you. However, I will always be your only point of contact.
What about the name?
My brand combines strength and delicacy, inspired by its name: a dandelion (dent de lion, “lion’s tooth” in French).
The dandelion disperses ideas - a symbol of message clarity, brand reach and strategic growth.
